Islamic Development Bank signs USD53 mn rural health plan for India

14-Apr-16 The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has signed a SAR200 mn (USD53 mn) agreement to provide medical care for poor rural people in India, funding 15 mobile health clinics. Google unveils India 'health cards' as it eyes vast market

The "health cards" cover more than 400 conditions and give information such as typical symptoms, prevalence and illustrations, in Google's smartphone app. After the US and Brazil, India is the third country to get the health cards. Approximately 5% of Google searches are for health-related information.
