29-Jul-15 A health tech start-up in India aims to provide affordable, patient-centric, centralised digital medical records. In 2014 there were 8,500 reported deaths in India due to adverse drug reactions, almost all of which could have been prevented if complete information about the patient’s medical history had been available. And that is what start-up KiviHealth aims to achieve.

05-Aug-15 Malaysia's IHH Healthcare Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Parkway Holdings, is reported to have acquired a 74% stake in Hyderabad-based Global Hospitals Group for an equity value of INR1,800 crore (USD277 mn). in March 2015 IHH acquired a 51% stake in Hyderabad-based Continental Hospitals. 27-Jul-15 Chennai-based Apollo Children’s Hospital Surgeries is using robotics for surgeries. The technology provides a 3D view that helps doctors to navigate in a targeted manner and complete a procedure without affecting neighbouring cells and tissues, which is crucial in paediatrics.
