UnitedHealth proposes buying Chile's Banmedica

Chilean healthcare company Banmedica SA has signed a non-binding agreement to sell all its shares to US-based UnitedHealth Group Inc.

"If the transaction materializes, the price to be offered in the takeover bid for each share of the company would be CLP2,150 pesos (USD3.47)," Banmedica said.
Banmedica has 890,000 people under its health insurance cover, runs five hospitals and turned over more than USD2 bn in 2016.
