Record of past hospital visits now at Taiwanese patients' fingertips

Taiwan's National Health Insurance Administration has recently announced a digital health system that allows people in Taiwan to track the medical care they have received. The system works using citizens' digital certificates, which authorise access to their data within 24 hours. The body also launched a system in 2013 on which healthcare professionals can check their patients' prescriptions and medications in real time.
