16-Mar-16 From 2010/11 to 2014/15, public hospital admissions increased by 3.2% annually in Australia, but 4.0% for private hospitals. 6 mn people were admitted to public hospitals in 2014/15 and 4.2 mn to private facilities. 57% of admissions did not involve surgery.
