Ramsay eyes China partnerships

Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare, having earlier this year cancelled a MYR431 mn (USD97 mn) partnership deal with Jinxin Healthcare in Chengdu, now wants to partner other hospital chains in China.

"Although we have a small presence in Malaysia and Indonesia, we can borrow up to MYR2 bn (USD449 mn) for new partnerships, including the hospital chains in China. We are initiating due diligence soon," said CEO Bronte Kumm. He expects the business to continue expanding at 20% to surpass RM100 mn (USD22 mn) in the year ending Jun-17.
