Online services launched for medtech importers in Vietnam

The health ministry's medical equipment and construction department has launched on-line public services of level 4 on issue of licences to importers of medical equipment.

Service level 4, the highest of the four administrative service levels, aims to simplify administrative procedures and set up convenient services for medical equipment importers.

Importers can now submit documents, pay fees, check the progress of documents and be informed about decisions through the online facility.

The ministry receives medical equipment import registrations from about 700 enterprises every month. Department Director Nguyen Minh Tuan said "I believe the service would create favourable conditions for enterprises, especially in terms of reducing expenses and time, and increasing transparency."
