Medical consultation for patients in the rural areas, those needing first aid or those busy professionals is now a phone call away with the setting up of KonsultaMD, the country’s first telemedicine hotline manned by licensed Filipino physicians.

By calling KonsultaMD’s 79880 hotline, patients can consult with licensed Filipino doctors who can provide medical assessment and advise over-the-counter medications without having to travel to and from the hospital or wait in line for their queue to see physicians in person.
The pioneering telemedicine services of KonsultaMD in the Philippines was made possible through the partnership of Globe Telecom with Salud Interactiva, which operates the largest health hotline in Mexico. For this e-health venture, Globe has tapped its subsidiary Yondu to provide its IT and mobile services as the infrastructure backbone behind KonsultaMD.
