Telemedicine services to be expanded in Korea

The government has decided to expand a telemedicine system that is currently being tested. According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the government will expand the region, size, and targets when it executes its third telemedicine system test run.

Prior to the third test run, the Ministry of Health and Welfare will announce the results of the second test run around January 27.

Ministry officials explain that they will expand the test areas to regions lacking medical services, and adopt telemedicine service models that serve the needs of the people living in those areas.
