Taiwan’s Pingtung Christian Hospital takes health app to South Africa

Pingtung Christian Hospital (PCH) announced Sunday that it is poised to introduce a community health promotion mobile app to South Africa.

The app is built on the hospital's expertise in bringing medical aid to remote regions, such as Taiwan's mountainous areas. It helps hospitals track infectious diseases and NCDs, and is designed to overcome the difficulties of rural areas.
A pilot program centered around the app has been implemented in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, which is also the birthplace of Nelson Mandela.
