Japan to invest USD3 mn in Cambodia hospital

A Japanese investor has committed to invest $3 million to construct a hospital in Siem Reap.

Kannari Yutaka, who has personally invested in the hospital which is named Angkor Kyosei Hospital, said "This hospital will provide the first ever international care services to tourists visiting this province. I expect more and more people will come here."
"This hospital will focus on general illness, operated by Cambodian doctors who have been trained in Japan, Thailand and Korea. They will also train the [local] Cambodian doctors," he said. He also added that this hospital would not only provide treatment, but also introduce advanced Japanese technology to Cambodian doctors.
