Cooperation in health at heart of China-CEEC meeting in Hungary

"Promoting health for all" was the slogan of the 3rd CEEC-China Health Minister's Meeting, an international conference with the participation of more than 200 delegates coming from China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC).

Speaking on behalf of the Hungarian government, Zsolt Semjen, Deputy Prime minister, said that Hungary wanted to become the motor of the cooperation between the region of CEEC and China.

It is time to expand cooperation between China and the CEEC from financial and industrial sectors to health and medical fields. "And we want Hungary to act as an active builder and catalyst in this context," Semjen said.

"The essence is being able to move from an illness centered approach to a prevention centered approach," said Zoltan Balog, Hungary's Minister of Human Resources.
