The Asian Development Bank has committed US$16.2 million to the program for the five years from 2014, Vietnamese Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen said at the launch ceremony in Krong Buk District.
The initial goal of the program is to provide medical checks for one million needy residents in the Central Highlands.
The Central Highlands is one of the six key economic regions of Vietnam, consisting of five provinces, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, and Lam Dong.
