USD274 mn to build second oncology hospital in HCMC

Ho Chi Minh City will build the second Oncology Hospital in District 9, at a total cost of nearly 5.9 trillion VND (274 million USD) which is sourced from the State budget and other legal capital resources.

The 1,000 patient-bed hospital will be specialised in high quality tumour treatment, applying state-of-the-art medical technology. The 10-storey construction includes an outpatient clinic, a sub-clinical and diagnostic area, and an administrative area.
Hua Ngoc Thuan, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee said that the facility will help ease the burden on other oncology hospitals in the south.
