Top Glove to tap Malaysian medical services market

Top Glove Corp, the world's largest rubber glove producer by volume, said it is partnering with DHS Emergency Asia as it seeks to expand its footprint into medical services in Malaysia.

A joint venture company, TG GD Medical Clinic Sdn Bhd, will be set up to provide clinical and specialist medical services in Malaysia, Top Glove said. Top Glove will acquire 75% in TG GD while DHS Emergency Asia, which mainly sells health products, will hold the remaining 25% stake.
TG GD is expected to start operating within six months, the glove maker said. "The JV is a long term investment plan for the group and would also provide medical facility to serve the large number of the group's employees and the surrounding community," the company said.
