Tech and healthcare investment in Indonesia might outgrow oil & gas investment

Global tech giant Google and AT Kearney revealed that tech investment in Indonesia has grown from USD1.4 bn in 2016 to USD3 bn during January-August 2017.

The growth was so rapid that AT Kearney stated it might pass the country’s investment in oil and gas sector, which was USD5 bn in 2016. Within Southeast Asian region, while Singapore remained the main hub for tech investment, other countries are quickly catching up with Indonesia leading the way.
