The collaboration is expected to improve cooperation between Rwanda and Korea in the field of telemedicine, hospital information system (HIS) and provision of ICT-based medical services.
Speaking during a media briefing at the ministry headquarters in Kicukiro, Kwon Deok-cheol, the visiting Korean deputy minister for health and welfare, said e-Health is now an effective tool of sharing information needed to provide services and controlling non-communicable diseases.
"E-health would be very crucial in providing information, especially now that Rwanda has potential to expand modern health services across the country. Through working together, information between the two countries will be shared," said Kwon.
