More takers for partial knee replacement in Madurai, India
22-Sep-15, The Times of India
More people with arthritis problems are opting for partial knee replacement instead of total knee replacement in the city, as the former surgery is much more effective and much less painful. Hospitals have started recommending partial knee replacement particularly for younger people, including people in their 40s.

Despite being several years old, partial knee replacement surgery is yet to gain the same popularity as total knee replacement in the city. It is estimated that just three partial knee replacement surgeries are done for every 100 total knee replacements. However, as more hospitals become capable of performing the surgery, the number of surgeries has also increased.
