KPJ explores setting up oncology centre in Indonesia

KPJ Healthcare Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with two Japanese partners to explore the possibility of developing a USD12 mn oncology centre at one of its hospitals located outside of Jakarta, Indonesia.

The preliminary agreement sets out the tri-partite collaboration between KPJ, investment company Sojitz Corp and Japan’s leading hospital and nursing home operator Capital Medica Co Ltd, for setting up a cancer treatment centre at KPJ's Rumah Sakit Medika BSD facility.
“The collaboration will facilitate the sharing and transferring of medical technology and know-how between Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia that will serve as an excellent learning platform for our doctors and healthcare professionals,” KPJ said.
