Indian home healthcare provider Portea set to close USD25 mn funding round

Home healthcare provider Portea Medical is set to close a USD25 mn (INR160 crore) funding round led by private equity firm Sabre Capital. This comes two years after it raised its last round of funding of USD37.5 mn.

Portea has so far raised around USD50 mn from investors that include Accel Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, and Ventureast and was valued at USD120 mn in its last investment round.
Bengaluru-based Portea, founded in 2013, sends medical professionals including doctors, nurses and physiotherapists for home visits. It also facilitates lab tests at home and medical equipment rentals for making healthcare more accessible for patients. Portea does around 120,000 home visits every month.
