As the Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, His Excellency Essa Al Maidoor is responsible for the overall functioning of the health sector in Dubai, and thus every decision he takes not only impacts the 11,000 strong DHA employees but also the wider public of Dubai.

It’s a position of responsibility, no doubt, but what sets him apart, is that in addition to his logical outlook, result-oriented and proactive approach to work and life, he’s also someone is deeply compassionate, a trait that is much useful for those in the healthcare profession.
An area of focus that will revolutionise healthcare administration, patient management and patient education is smart total solutions. “This is an area we have been particularly focussing on. This is the future.” said Al Maidoor.
From working on electronic medical records, hospital information systems to developing essential healthcare apps in-house, the DHA has been moving full throttle in this direction.
Even patient education is moving in the smart direction. “Patient wellness is key and we are very focussed on educating them through the use of smart technology, smart apps, augmented reality brochures, campaigns etc. We have also introduced comprehensive diagnostic packages that will aid in early detection of diseases.
