Demand continues to be more than supply for the Xiaomi Redmi mobile phone in India, which leads to phones being sold out in seconds.

One big problem is reselling. Resellers buy multiple units and then resell them at a premium, promising guaranteed stock. This practice affects genuine buyers, who cannot get a phone for themselves directly from authorised vendors.
To solve this issue, Xiaomi has taken the drastic option of removing the Cash on Delivery payment option for the Redmi Note 5 Pro on Mi.com and Flipkart.
