While it’s not quite a blank slate in Warsaw, the atrocities it suffered in war mean that even now, the Polish capital is still imagining what it could become.

HB Reavis' planned Varso development, when complete, will be Poland's tallest building at 310m (including spire, 230m without). The new architecture has a heavy British influence. Foster + Partners is working in collaboration with local firms for the trilogy of buildings at the 140,000 sq m development.

Warsaw has a shot at developing a truly 21st century city, a mix of existing architecture that survived the war and new, green offices and residential space.
