Boston Scientific starts production at Malaysian plant

Boston Scientific this week launched operations in Penang, Malaysia, the medical device giant’s first Asian manufacturing facility.

Boston Scientific has plans to add as many as 400 new local jobs at the 375,000 square foot facility in Batu Kawan Industrial Park, over the next 2 years. The plant is designed to produce both cardiovascular and endoscopy products, with plans to expand into urology products in 2018.
