Apollo sets up medical camps in India to make healthcare affordable

Nearly 9,000 doctors from private sectorApollo Hospitals across the country have pledged to make Healthcare affordable and accessible by setting up medical camps. The first medical camp under the initiative was set up across Bengaluru with a special focus on women and specifically pregnant women.

Nearly 500 women who visited the camps were given freeconsultancy on their health and pregnancy. "First three months of pregnancy are extremely critical. It is important to take good care of health during this period to ensurethe child is born healthy," said Dr Prathap Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals.
Free medical camps will be set up on the 9th of every month to address different health issues.
