EsSalud to roll out digital medical records in Peru

The Peruvian national health service is set to install and new technology platform for digital medical records in primary health care centres in order to boost the use of digital records in remote areas of the country.

The SISCAP system, which is based on international standards, is designed to provide improved quality of care and faster appointments. The installation of the system will be in 147 health care units across Peru. The process will also see all IT equipment in the health care centres upgraded.
