Brazilian government to reduce healthcare spending to break budget deficit

20-Sep-15 The Brazilian government will reduce the healthcare sector disbursement of USD997 mn in 2016. To break the overall budget deficit, government has announced nine measures, which includes job cuts in the public sector, reduction in salaries of civil employees, reductions in funding to pace growth programme, suspension of tenders, reduction in discretionary spending, reduction of ministries and other measures.
