Fujitsu pushes digital transformation in Thailand

Developing digital workforce skills and embracing emerging big data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT) are critical practical approaches organisations need to transform and survive the digital era, says a Japanese technology firm.

"Digital technologies can help innovate business models, enhance competitiveness and generate new revenue opportunities," said Yoshikuni Takashige, vice-president for marketing strategy at Fujitsu.

Mr Takashige said Thailand has been a high-potential country in Asia for Fujitsu thanks to its steady economic growth. Logistics, manufacturing and healthcare sectors are likely to be early adopters of digital transformation strategies in Thailand, he said. 

IoT has the potential to maximise efficiency and productivity of manufacturing firms. Healthcare companies will be able to monitor patients and prevent diseases.
