Sarawak's rural e-Health system to be expanded to Peninsular Malaysia

A rural e-Health programme jointly developed by Sarawak Information System (Sains) and Measat Satellite Systems (Measat) will reach the shores of Peninsular Malaysia soon.

According to Deputy Minister of Multimedia and Communications Datuk Jailani Johari, the ‘Rural ICT-Guided Home-Based Technopreneur Community Healthcare Advancement Nurturing For Growth Ecosystem’ (RiGHT CHANGE) aims to provide rural folk with easier access to e-Health services.

“RiGHT CHANGE could also be applied in the rural areas of Peninsular Malaysia. We see this programme as something very beneficial and helpful,” he told reporters.

So far, ‘RiGHT CHANGE’ has been implemented in Sebangan, Singai, Debak and Tambirat. It will be introduced to another three locations across the state soon.
