Today, we have about 180,000 registered dental graduates across India, out of which only about 80,000 are actively practising. The rural areas have a dearth of this talent. The Indian dental market is approximately USD2 bn, with a market growth rate of 20% YOY. India is one of the fastest growing dental markets in the world alongside China.

In dentistry, automation has been there for the last 10-15 years, but within the last 5 years, there is a positive trend towards CAD (Computer-aided design). For example, many surgeries such as implant or bone grafting or surgeries for tumors are now aided by cone-beam CT scans.
