IHH Healthcare posts healthy profit, says outlook rosy

IHH Healthcare, the largest hospital operator in Malaysia by market capitalization, said net profit increased 46% year-on-year to MYR173 mn (USD39 mn) for the third quarter ended in Sep-16.

The healthcare services provider recorded a 18% spike in revenue to MYR2.44 bn (USD547 mn) in the corresponding quarter from a year ago, according to its filing.

The company operates in four segments, with hospital operator Parkway Pantai contributing 63% of revenue followed by its Turkey subsidiary with 33%. Parkway Pantai reported a 20% year-on-year increase, and Turkey-based Acibadem Holdings grew its revenue by 18%.
